The performance Overwhelmed, created for the exhibition Louise Bourgeois. Conversations imaginaires, addresses the weight of a burden that has become an integral part of our body and identity, a burden that is both mental and physical. Without a shell, we are vulnerable; with one, we are protected but limited in our movements. Jennie Bringaker is a Norwegian artist. Her work blurs the boundaries between humans and animals, and challenges conventional notions of femininity.
