Sonder les droits de la Terre : Launch evening for Ekes magazine no. 2

Monday 3 February at 6 p.m., FRAC Champagne-Ardenne is hosting the second publication of the EKES magazine, Sonder les droits de la Terre. During this launch evening, the public is invited to take part in a discussion between the magazine’s creators, researchers, designers and other contributors.
The EKES (EarthKeeping EarthShaking) collection in Art and Social Sciences distributes the research of the eponymous programme, run by ÉSAD Reims within the Art master’s course since September 2020. ‘ EarthKeeping EarthShaking’ adopts its title from the 13th issue of the American magazine Heresies: A feminist publication on art and politics. Founded in New York in 1976 by the Heresies Collective, the publication ran from 1977 to 1993. This research programme poses the hypothesis of a renewal of the world’s habitability from artists’ points of view, from the converging perspectives of political history, environmental humanities and art history.
