In 2020 Charlotte Dualé was invited by the FRAC Champagne-Ardenne to design the layout of its shop.
The artist has created a ceramic work made up of handmade tiles and abstract and figurative shapes designed to accommodate various objects (works, books, multipes) depending on the context.
Metashelves fluctuates between a functional object and a work of art “from which the imagination can emerge”. Working in ceramics, Charlotte Dualé reappropriates various everyday objects such as tools and words, which she diverts from their original functions and destinations to recontextualise them in hybrid forms that recompose a vocabulary in which the body often plays a central role.
